Botswana is a country located in the Southern Africa with a population of 2m. Botswana is not therefore too densely populated country and in fact it has many well-known natural conservation sites and national parks that attract 1-3 million tourists on yearly basis. However, despite the stable situation as an African country instead of tourism the commodity mining industry – especially diamond industry – is the biggest source of export for Botswana. The capital of Botswana is Gaborone, located in the southern part of the country.
Below are listed some of the most recommended destinations for the newlyweds who would like to consider this wonderful part of Africa as their honeymoon destination.

Makgadikgadi is an unique area of 12 000 sq kms in the Kalahari Basin. It is one of the only unique salt pans in the world with flat terrain and blue horizon that stretches as far as the eye can see. This area is very dry and extremely arid. Therefore, large mammals are absent to a great extent of the year. However, when it rains, one is able to see flamingos at Sowa and Nata Sanctuary. At that time the number of flamingos is in hundreds of thousands and this is a wonderful spectacle to witness in life.
Moremi Game Reserve
Moremi Game Reserve is one of the most important and popular National Park destinations in the whole of Africa.
